As President of the Central Florida Section (CFS) of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW), I am honored to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to our website. Chartered on October 28, 2017, under the leadership of our past president, Annette Dicks, our section remains dedicated to carrying forward the legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune through our focus on education, health and wellness, economic empowerment and advocacy for social justice.
We have activitely participated in many community events while promoting NCNW Good Health Wins initiative. We also hosted our first scholarship event, awarding six high school students attending an HBCU.
At the core of CFS is a network of passionate women committed to uplifting and empowering one another while championing the values Dr. Bethune cherished. Our mission is to create opportunities, improve the quality of life for women of African descent, their families and their communities.
Together, we are fostering leadership, driving positive change, and shaping a brighter future for generations to come. Whether you are a member, supporter, sponsor or just exploring our site, I invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact in our community.
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to a remarkable journey ahead as we contine to honor the legacy of Dr. Bethune.
Warmest regards, Carole J Davis, Central Florida Section President
